About the Columbian Squires

Come join the Columbian Squires of the Knights of Columbus.

The squires are a group of young men founded on August 4, 1925 in Duluth, Minnesota. The group was formed to provide spiritual, cultural, civic, social and physical improvement as well as develop leadership qualities in its membership.

The squires have developed into a fraternity of almost 25,000 Catholic young men worldwide. The program is designed to involve young men in activities that benefit the Church, the country, the local community as well as in recreational and social activities.

The 10 boys who could attend and two adults were able to establish a “Triple Win.”
  • They helped their community achieve a cleaner and safer environment.

  • They earned $500 which will be used for their internal scholarship fund that we are starting aside from any scholarship fund we are hope our council will approve for our Squires

  • They will also be given a future pizza party by the county at the time of their choice.

We will attempt to do at least three of these a year and the boys according to Tom loved it and can’t wait to do it again.

A big shout out to Tom Connelly for leading this effort.
